Initially i just give them like 200 edited shots with a printing release, and if they want i can sit down with them and make an album book.

Damn, this is gonna be hard to explain over an anon ask. Ill do my best. Layer masking is the concept where you want to affect certain parts of your image, but not others. So lets say your subject is perfectly exposed but your background is a little too dark.
You will go to your photo layer, make a curves layer and just adjust the curve for your background, your subject will get affected too, dont worry. After you have made your adjustments. Go to the bottom of the layer tab and hit the 3rd button from your left. Its a rectangle with a white circle in it. That creates a mask! Then go to your edit>fill> fill with black. Then take your white paint brush lower the opacity a bit and hardness. Then start just brushing WHITE on your BLACK layer mask. This just affects the area you want it too. presto.
Its just a concept where you use brushes to add to just PARTS of photos. Its a simple concept that can take you to huge new lands in photography. Conceptual photographers layer mask like a mofugga.

Ohh! That was so much fun! I was invited to Career week for an elementary school out in the inland empire. I guess the area had a rep for having a lot of HS dropouts. So i was invited to come talk about my passions of photography and dentistry. I tried to keep my talk really fun, interactive, and engaging. I guess it worked! A lot of the teachers said i was the best presenter of the week! And that the kids wouldnt stop talking about me. Im sure other people came in with cooler jobs than me, but ive always loved public speaking. So it was fun to go out and talk about what i love doing!

Anonymous asked: raise your rates and be picky about who you work with. at this point you've built a strong portfolio, a good word of mouth, and most importantly a genuine "look" with your work. i see a pic and i know you took it before seeing the name. you can make just as much money and save yourself time to pursue the dentistry stuff, spend quality time with your car, and breast starving feed orphan babies! idk much about the seniors market but i know you can lose good weddings by being too cheap.
Wow Anon, incredible advice. I am gonna start raising prices just a little bit in this next year. Im such a nice guy, its hard to say no to people! haha, but im working on it ;).
